Frequently Asked Questions About Our Closure
When will this take effect?
The transition is effective immediately. Our organization’s programs are no longer active, and moving forward, we encourage Be Brave for Isla’s supporters to connect directly with Ryker’s Rainbow.
What’s happening to Be Brave for Isla’s current programs?
As of October 9th, 2025, all of our services are suspended. Recommended facilities, nonprofits, and community resources can be found on our website.
I’m a monthly donor – what should I do next?
We are so grateful for our monthly donors and their contributions to our mission. We will be reaching out to our monthly donors to personally thank them and ask that they consider moving their contributions to Ryker’s Rainbow in Isla’s memory.
What will happen to the donations that have already been made?
All remaining funds will be donated to Ryker’s Rainbow, whose mission is closely aligned with Be Brave for Isla’s. These contributions will be used to fully fund their mission and “Be the Light” for families who suffer pregnancy, newborn, or infant loss through gifts of remembrance, sibling support, and financial assistance in Alabama.
Will there be resources available for families after Be Brave for Isla closes?
Yes, this website will remain online to continue sharing grief resources with bereaved families.
Will donors still receive tax-deductible receipts for the year?
Yes, anyone who donated in 2025 will receive a donation summary for their records at the end of the year.
How will Be Brave for Isla’s legacy and impact be honored?
We will continue to share images, memories, and reflections on our website and highlight Ryker’s Rainbow’s social media pages. In this way, Isla’s legacy will live on while inspiring continued support for bereaved families through Ryker’s Rainbow.
How can we continue to support bereaved families?
We ask you to continue supporting bereaved families by helping keep their children’s memories alive. You can do this by volunteering your time to non-profits that benefit their families, continuing to say their babies’ names, and contributing financially to organizations like Ryker’s Rainbow and the others listed on our website.
